Inspired by Japanese zen temple gardens the Hojo rug is part of our contemporary collection of rugs made in conjunction with a co-op in the Anti-Atlas region of Morocco. Blending the traditional Ait Ouaouzguite (Ait Amar) checkerboard design with a contemporary update inspired by Japanese zen temple gardens designer Alexander Jowett strives to create contemporary pieces with a timeless quality. All of our contemporary collection pieces can be customised and are made to order.
